About scott davis
scott b. davis is an artist and founder of Medium Photo, a non-profit organization that produces workshops, exhibitions, artist lectures, and an annual festival for emerging and established fine art photographers. A widely exhibited fine art photographer, davis creates photographs with wooden view cameras ranging in size from 4” x 5” to 16” x 20”. He makes prints by hand using a labor-intensive 19th century process known as platinum printing.
His work has been reviewed in the New York Times, the Village Voice, the New Yorker, Los Angeles Times, and other print media. davis’s photographs have been collected by the J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Pier 24 in San Francisco, the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Museum of Photographic Arts, and others.
A monograph of his work titled scott b. davis: sonora was published by Radius Books in 2021.
