ITAS Podcast Season 3, Ep.1
Candice Rodriguez is a returning guest. I did a story about her sun prints a little over a year ago when she was working toward growing her business as a traveling artist checking boxes in her business plan one after another.
Now, after 3 years of hard work, Candice – aka Candiche – is a successful artpreneur. She graciously agreed to share her experience and knowledge about running a successful art business on our podcast.
Listen to the full conversation with Candice in the S3 Ep1 of ITAS Podcast.
About Candice Rodriguez
Candice, also known as Candiché is a Venezuelan-American artist who specializes in a photographic technique known as cyanotype, which she uses to depict plants and explore the natural world.
She was born in Michigan and raised on the island of Margarita in Venezuela. She received a BFA in prints and books from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, where she fell in love with the print-making process.
At a young age, she felt a deep connection to nature, and after graduation, she began to pursue her passion by working on an organic farm, practicing floral design, becoming a master gardener, and eventually, studying permaculture design and agroforestry in Bali, Indonesia.
Inspired by the natural beauty that surrounded me, I began to look for ways to express that beauty and found the Cyanotype.
